Medical students Liya Bayramova and Andrei Kukushkin from the School of Medicine and Health Sciences at BAU International University Batumi participated in the 18th ESMINT Congress, held in Marseille, France, from September 2–4, 2026. Their participation was fully funded by the university.
At the congress, they presented their research, titled “Differential Interleukin-6 Dynamics Across Systemic and Cerebrospinal Fluid Compartments in Acute Neurovascular Injury.”
The congress gave the students an opportunity to learn about recent advances in neurointervention and minimally invasive neurological therapies, present their research to an international scientific audience, and gain valuable academic and research experience.
