Mentora Gymnasium

Education

The task of the intermediate level (Sekundarstufe I) is to prepare students for attending the upper level of the gymnasium (Sekundarstufe II) and to offer them a study-oriented school education. Lessons take place in the class and each class has a class teacher who is responsible for all matters that affect the class or individual students.

The upper secondary level (Sekundarstufe II) begins in grade 11 and ends with the Abitur in grade 12. At the beginning of the first semester, a one-week “methods seminar” takes place in preparation for the work in the upper level, in which specific work strategies and techniques are developed and implemented. Lessons take place in the course system, which means that tutors take on the role of class teacher.
