Teacher Professional Development Program

STEM: Integrated Teaching Framework provides teacher educators at BAUSTEM with a data-driven roadmap for STEM Education. Based on this framework, several programs for teachers have been developed over the years. The flagship program of BAUSTEM is a sustainable professional development program for mathematics and science teachers at secondary and high school levels. At this PD program, teachers undertake 92 hours of study, which consists of face-to-face workshops, online training, writing of lesson plans, classroom practice and evaluation, and also examinations over the course of 8 months. Shorter online training courses, such as courses on computational thinking, mathematical modeling, earlySTEM for K4, or STEM for gifted students (giftedSTEM) are also offered as part of our advanced STEM education program. Our resources section at inteach.org, which includes a rich bank of teacher-created lesson plans, is a product of our online professional learning community and readily available for our visiting members.

INTEGRA Robotic Arm

Team 3646 Bahcesehir INTEGRA’s hydro-arm was more than just a robotic arm built by high school students. It was a spark which encouraged authorities to take action to rescue a puppy named Kuyu from a 70 meters deep well. It was a brand new idea, a different perspective to solve a vital problem effectively. Also, it proved that one can help every single living being if one truly wants it and works for it intensively no matter the age, resources and opportunities. Bahcesehir INTEGRA’s hydro-arm has been an example of hard work and passion all over the world and showed how true Team 3646’s motto is: Science and technology will have true meaning as long as they are used to touch others’ lives.

INTEGRA HYDRO-Arm STEM Kit

HYDRO-Arm STEM Kit is a kind of hydraulic lift designed by Bahcesehir College High School for Science and Technology students. There are four different syringes at the back side of the kit. Each syringe is totally filled with colored water. When the force is applied to them, pressure is formed. This pressure is transferred through water and makes the arm move forward. It is designed to make students experience hydraulic systems to create a deeper understanding through a more engaging learning process.

INTEGRA Robot

Team 3646 Bahcesehir INTEGRA’s robot for the “FIRST Robotics Competition 2018 POWER UP” season was a product of countless hours of hard work and sleepless nights. During the six-week long building season, team members worked just like the parts of a body and formed a complex organism. This connection and power between team members affected the robot’s performance. Team 3646’s robot was one of the best 20 robots between 8000. Bahcesehir INTEGRA also got the chance to hold the title “The first Turkish FRC team to be the winner as the captain of an alliance” as well as being “The first Turkish FRC team to be a Finalist at the World Champs.” We believe that success grows proportionally to your passion and effort. With this incredible perseverance inside, Bahcesehir INTEGRA is ready to achieve more.
